Caedon turns the big 3

We celebrated Caedon's 3rd birthday in style...Curious George style, yeyah!  The kids had a great time hunting for bananas and monkeys, coloring, reading time, and pass the banana.  It is so fun to see Caedon playing with all his friends.  He is growing up too fast!!

After the party we tried to do a "photo shoot" emphasis on tried.  Who knew how difficult it could be to get four eyes on the lens.

Babka's here for Christmas!!!!   We spent this snowy evening making peppermint ice cream with a little help from a little elf in his PJ's.   And it turned out great.  We got the recipe from Shannon's blog (www.mommyapolis.com), and it comes highly recommended.  Check it out!

The BIG 3-Uh oh...Kyle turns 30

Alright, I'm going to finally blog about the big day.  No I didn't get any AARP cards, Centrum Silver vitamins, Just for Men, or Vitamin V (the little blue pill...you know the commercial Viva Viagra, if you experience an okay I won't go there),  but I did get a wonderful wall of appreciation from many of you that stirred my heart in many ways.  I appreciate all the meaningful words and memories, I laughed, I cried, I reminisced about the old times and look forward to all the new journeys ahead.   Caedon, Norah, Jen and my parents made me feel special on my monumental day.  Jen spent most of the day preparing a wonderfully special meal and a delicious German Chocolate cake (made from scratch) all while potty training Caedon and nursing Norah back to health.  She is my nomination for Supermom of the Year.

We've also been getting the house ready for the holidays and continue to do so.  Caedon and I went to a tree lot and found a tree.  Caedon picked it out himself.  Turns out it was not the fullest, most picturesque tree on the lot, but Caedon picked it out and we love it!

I liked the way this picture feels with all the smoke
